All About The Honda Pilot That is a Rage

The new version of the Honda Pilot will be marketed with minor changes over its predecessor. While this compact SUV will still continue to be well-equipped with just one power-train, the automatic transmission and the front wheel drive, while the all-wheel drive and the manual transmission will be on the offer optionally.

It will make the effective and efficient use of Honda's VCMT (Variable Cylinder Management Technology) in order to minimize the overall fuel consumption while in the process of making use of the cruise control system, and speeding on the highways. The AWD variant will also be relevantly featured with the 50-50 front/rear power split.

The 2010 Pilot will be offered in three trim levels; the EX-L, EX, and LX. The base variant will be particularly equipped with the 3.5L V6 engine that will deliver 250hp mated to a 6-speed auto (and 5-speed manual optionally) transmission.

The seating and the driving comfort is also very expected to be very well improved a good extent in the new model, while the fuel economy continues to be a concern for the Honda Pilot fans. However, one cannot simply complain about the passenger and cargo room.

The Touring variant comes with some added luxury features such as the power tailgate, an advanced navigation system, the rear and front obstacle detection, the wire-less cell-phone link, and much more. It has the split folding benches that are provided in the second and third rows, so as to very well accommodate a total of maximum of 8 passengers. And, in order to particularly complement the passenger carrying capacity, the 2010 Honda Pilot also comes with the great cargo room too.

As a whole, it is another very excellent compact size SUV from the house of the General Motors, which gives you a mixed bag of the advanced features and comfort, though they come at the cost of the mediocre fuel economy.

Honda is going to start giving the Toyota's Prius a run for its money for sure as Prius specs are being dominated. The Prius has undoubtedly long been the best-selling hybrid car in the whole of North America, but Honda has changed that trend in due course of time.

Hybrid fans have been eagerly anticipating the Paris Motor Show in the month of October 2008 in order to learn more about this car, including the name (still the Insight), but the announcement may come even sooner. The various speculations had been made that the Insight name might be revived, but the current rumors dispel this. Will it be the Honda Green or possibly the Honda Eco? Nope...In Sight!

The new and improved Honda hybrid Insight will likely have a very similar design to the hydrogen FCX Clarity or the Toyota Prius, but it will indeed be larger while still remaining in the sub-compact category.
